... mostly all of Adore is about his mother, who died around the time of Adore. And this song basicly means, what if the sun doesn't shine? Are you gonna stop living because of that? No, you have to keep on living no matter the terrible things that might happen in your life. |

This is one of my favorite songs by them, if not my favorite.
It's about how... if you are a person who is very aware of your surroundings, an intelligent person, a "great mind", you will suffer and be confused while your alive for seeying what path the world around you has chosen to take. Destruction, chaos, war.
The last two verses are about humility. I live my life in "peace", and i will die. But you live yours in war and you will, of course, die as well. We are going to the same place, but some are being judged for bad, and some for good. |

This song, i believe, retakes the subject started on the piece "A Sun that Never Sets", in a slightly different approach, in order to take the subject a little further "up the road".
It means you cannot see where life takes you until you stumble upon it, suddenly, you have no chance to control, and so you're falling through a strange existance.
So, in a certain way, all you can do is "Lie and wait..." |

I think that this song is an attempt towards attonement itself. I think it means an apology, a very painful one, to people who you have hurt throughout your life, that you have hurt and never had the chance or were too proud to apologise, and now you're telling them that you regret and if you could take it back you would, but it's too late, for time moves forward perpetually. |
