Has anyone noticed that the part that all those comments are talking about has been left out of the lyrics? Except for the first time it's said?

Pink Floyd – Outside the Wall Lyrics 14 years ago
This song doesn't make as much sense if you haven't seen the movie. Beware of SPOILERS: The album and the movie are both named the wall. The first part of Another Brick in the wall along with the movie basicly sets the theme. Pink's father goes off to war and dies and this places the first brick in the wall of Pink's life. The general idea being that we all build these walls to keep out the cold world. Which seems like a great idea as Pink goes through his life relatively normal-like except for that whole, becoming a rock star bit. That's when Pink first starts to experience the other side of the wall. The wall keeps out the cold world, but what we often forget is that, there are people who love us in that cold world, warmth as well is kept out by the wall. What goes up must come down. Anyways I think the important part of this song is a kind of solemn thank you to all those people who help us break down the walls that keep us from happiness. Also serving as a warning to people that we should appreciate those people as well because it isnt't easy "beating your heart against some poor buggers wall" especially when you think about how they must be trying to tear down walls of their own.

Fall Out Boy – Growing Up Lyrics 14 years ago
For once I think the title actually does explain it all: This song is about growing up!

The first line: I dried my eyes now I crust them with sleep. I'll crust them over.
It's a little vague, but I think it's a line about maybe getting out of a relationship, drying your eyes of the tears shed over the last loss. Crusting my eyes over with sleep I think means ignoring the obvious issues in a relationship because your in a haze, like sleep. Crust them over completely because you can get pretty oblivious, almost blind!

The next part: She begged me "dont hate me". she spun me a story
Where winning looks like losing and i'm winning every time. so thread spools sweetie, get ready. Until my silk is sold.

She begged me "don't hate me", "don't hate me" is a pretty grade school thing to say before you break up with someone kinda insinuating that it might have been a very early relationship, and that it had finally become obvious that the relationship was over. She spun him a story where winning looks like losing etc., is the typical break-up "oh it's not you, it's me" bullshit where you're clearly losing that relationship, but they want you to believe you're winning some sort of freedom. The last part is basicly saying, yeah, yeah I've heard it before just make it good and convincing.

The Chorus: Growing up, is just restating the obviousness of the theme
I kinda disagree with what's written I think it says, I'll find myself a new, taking some downtime to just be single maybe?

I'm losing interest so I'll be quick the rest of the song is about another attempt at going out, there it ending negatively because he still had feelings for the last relationship and realizing he's better off on his own still, part of being a grown up and being in a relationship is knowing when to take some me time and that's what growing up

where eagles dare is a song about how your going miss me cuz I'm awesome, which kinda fits in to my explanation
