| Why do I enjoy this song so much? Cuz it's catchy of course. But also, because I find it interesting in that it seems to be about being an optimistic dead person. Silly, right? But it talks about being dead and thus one with the earth in burial. Now it looks forward to helping things around it grow. So it's kinda just a creepy yet charming ditty about nature. Obviously, it could be symbolic. But I don't know what it'd be and am just now getting to know/love Thee Oh Sees. | |

| I'm almost positive galalorien has it right on. This song is about a guy wanting to have sex with his girl who his still a virgin. There's a slogan in christian circles to keep young kids away from sex, with the slogan "True Love Waits." And we all know of the Followill's christian background and their songs about sex. It could be the same girl from the song "Happy Alone." But the guy is willing to go the love route in order to get with her sexually, going for the "true love way." | |

| I think what Dreamcoli is meaning is that KOL deal with God in a unique way. As I've seen in a few online articles, this song softly and subtly alludes to God's providence. You can't get that from the lyrics alone, but band members have confirmed it. | |
