I think people often forget that our parents are not perfect and they do the best they can to raise their children to be successful, kind, and functional people in society. We may not see it when we are younger but when we get older we realize that what they did was because they loved us and its what was best for us at the time. The dad in the movie is dying of cancer. My dad died of cancer recently. The past year I could feel him slipping away. We fought alot when I was a teenager. I realized he wouldn't be around forever and I straighted up my act and became a proud legacy for my father and myself. My opinion of the song: It reminds me of my family in a way. He lived his life always trying to do the right thing, to help others, and to be kind and passionate. He always wanted to be remembered as a decent man and for what he did for other people and the world. The part the gets to me the most is "The man of the hour has taken his final bow. Good bye for now" |

In my opinion this song is talking about a fight between two guys, probably between two friends. I think he's trying to say he really doesn't want to fight him, but if he does, it's one on one and if he hurts him, he doesn't mean to, and if he could, he'd reach out and grab him and tell him how much he cares about him with out seeming.. "homosexual".. When they fight, he's going to fight him honorablly. |
