| Nice assessment. This song was released shortly after we evacuated Vietnam. Unfortunately, there seems to be all too much truth to these lyrics, both at that time and today. | |

| The first 10 seconds of this song are awesome. I find myself going back to the beginning at least once. | |

| Various Artists – Amazing Grace Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Author's name is Newton. From Wikipedia: After a brief time in the Royal Navy, Newton began his career in slave trading. The turning point in Newton's spiritual life was a violent storm that occurred one night while at sea. Moments after he left the deck, the crewman who had taken his place was swept overboard. Although he manned the vessel for the remainder of the tempest, he later commented that, throughout the tumult, he realized his helplessness and concluded that only the grace of God could save him. Prodded by what he had read in Thomas à Kempis' Imitation of Christ, Newton took the first step toward accepting faith. These incidents and his 1750 marriage to Mary Catlett changed Newton significantly. On his slave voyages, he encouraged the sailors under his charge to pray. He also began to ensure that every member of his crew treated their human cargo with gentleness and concern. Nevertheless, it would be another 40 years until Newton openly challenged the trafficking of slaves. |

| Black Sabbath – Over To You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Sounds like they were sniffing glue when they made this song. Is that guitar part a single chord? | |

I think it's about a love that's immortalized in heaven. |

Try listening to it in your car while messing with the L-R balance. Don't hit oncoming traffic though. The cool stereo effect is achieved by echoing the left speaker with the right with a small delay in-between. The "first" speaker alternates with each verse. Or, if you keep the balance on either side for the whole song, the song sounds a bit different. |

| Black Sabbath – A Hard Road Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think it's "Forget all your sorrow, don't live in the past", instead of "We're living in sorrow, we're living the best". | |
| Black Sabbath – Hole In The Sky Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Very clever DanR! I never would have picked that up. If you read the entire song lyrics with that in mind, every line fits! In addition, I think it's about a person who's wasted their life (I'm getting closer to the end of the line) watching television. | |
| Black Sabbath – FX Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| At 00:45, it starts to sound like a psychedelic tennis match with reverb. | |
| Black Sabbath – Supernaut Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think 'Supernaut' is a play on 'astronaut'. It kind of goes along with the theme. | |
| Black Sabbath – The Writ Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I'm pretty sure I hear a harpsichord toward the end of the song. | |

This song has nothing to do with drugs - a common misconception for those that smoke a lot of pot - they think EVERYTHING'S about dope. |

| Black Sabbath – Slipping Away Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Awesome instrumental solos in the middle of this song! | |
| Black Sabbath – Children Of The Sea Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Our technology has evolved faster than ourselves, for we humans are merely lost children of the seas. | |
| Black Sabbath – Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Running through "furnace" of tears? What the hell does that mean? I'm pretty sure it's "Running through valleys of tears". | |
| Black Sabbath – Rock 'N' Roll Doctor Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I'm one of the world’s biggest Sabbath fans, especially Ozzy songs. But Dio had it right when he said that Ozzy is a very stupid man. The words in this song are unimaginative when compared to most of the other Sabbath songs. | |
