This song makes me kind of sad. to me it means that in order to achieve some kind of satori, you must use drugs. in the case of this song, "prying open my third eye" seems to me like drug use has become drug abuse. |

I Come from Los Angeles. This Song is about Jerry Cantrel's move from seattle to LA. My Father lived in LA his whole life and last year he moved to bremerton, washington do to a new marrage, which is an hour away from seattle. he moved back this year due to divorce. My dad is also a drug addict. "check MY BRAIN!!!!" i find a lot of meaning for myself in my own life about this song. it rocks. the first time i heard it, i was blown away. is it just me, or does it sound like layne singing. i know its not, but their new singer sounds alot like layne. kinda creepy. |

This song makes me think of sid vicious and his girlfriend. they fell into drug addiction together. the lyrics "show me that you love me and that we belong together" sounds like a guy telling his girl to prove her love to him by exparimenting with all kinds of drugs and sexual acts. so i think its about a couple falling into drug addiction together. |

This song kicks it hardcore. i love maynards climax scream, which by the way is purely 100% authintic. no looping or effects. ive seen him do it live. to me this song is about a break up which guy the doesnt take so well. he never forgets it because of the pain and he gets angry at himself and the person that dropped him. he holds a grudge. i can relate. Have you ever heard the term 'the melting pot' refering to america? well, i think this song is about 'The Pots' former president bush.
