i think it's about being in love with someone who is sad, and consoling them - telling them everything is alright. the sad lover has possibly been distant for a while and the singer is asking for the lover to lay their head down, like they used to, "in the old fashion". this is just my interpretation, and it is quite sparse, so i'm happy to be corrected. |

i always heard it as "i'd like to rearrange your latitude to me", as in she wants to be closer to the person she is singing to. i see it as a song of admiration "i'd sit there in the sun of the things I like about you", not necessarily love. that or she loves the person but doesn't actually want them to know, "most of all I'd like you to be unaware". |
