i think this song is about revenge. you are waiting for the day to take back what you lost but it never comes because revenge just leads to more hurt. he says 'God ill make them pay take it back one day' i think he is talking about getting his revenge on some one but the day never comes. |

well i love this song. not because it is on Twilight, big fan by the way, but because everybody has some sort of secret that they dont want anybody to know. when she says 'my thoughts you cant decode' she is talking about the fact that Edward cant read Bella's mind. but in reality who can read anyones mind? in the last verse, it says i see something in you, it might kill me, i want it to be true, i think that, as a second meaning, someones truth might kill someone else. that probably doesnt make sense to anybody haha but it makes sense to me. if you have lied all your life hiding a big secret and then someone finally figures it out it might figuratively kill them. i have a friend who during spring break had a little too much fun with a girl he barely knew. she thought she was pregnant but she told my friend she wasnt. he didnt know until about a week ago that she really was and now it 'killed' him to know he has to give up the rest of his life for this child. that truth was a painful shock for him. i dont know thats what i think of this song. and paramore is a great band and no matter who they write a song for its always going to be a great song whether you like it or not |

this song reminds me of a personal issue i had with a very very incredibly good friend. i did somehting very unforgivable to him and i regret it. when Maynard says 'allow me to be forgiven' i think about my friend and wish that he could forgive me. i believe Maynard is speaking of a problem he had as well where he wanted to forgive and be forgiven but he couldnt. so he is askin for a different way to forget but forgive and be forgiven at the same time

towards the end of the song, he speaks of 'rising'. i think that this song is more about his rise to be who he is. i think that the 'beast' is the fame he has and he doesnt want to cause any chaos of it. when he says 'feeding on the rose' i think he is speaking of his fans feeding off of his music. his lyrics are amazing and im pretty sure most people can relate to them. his being a doe and deer in the headlights ii think he is saying that he is not afraid of what his fame will bring him. |

i think that it is about his mom. she has fallen into a deep 'sleep' so to speak because of her paralysis and any other medical condition. being bound to a wheelchair unable to walk is almost like a poison because of how much Maynard cares about her he probably feels he should also be bound. her 'demons' are all of the struggles she faces tryin to cope with her disability. i favor this song on this album because though his lyrics might be simple they have a strong meaning behind them. Maynard is a great artist. |

i wuz told by a very reliable source that this song is about Maynards mother and how she never gave up her faith in God even after He did all He did to her. Maynard is tryin to question why she puts so much faith in some one who only brings her pain and suffering. It is a beautiful song none the less and he is just tryin to show his mom how much he cares about her |
