| Tokio Hotel – Screamin' Lyrics | 15 years ago |

It's a bit more complicated than that. I see this as Bill singing from the perspective of a fan(s) who is 'in love' with him/another band memeber. This person (assumed female) is trying to convince him that he should be with her, but he can't because he doesn't love her. She feels like she knows him but, obviously, he's never met her in his life, so how could he love her? It sounds almost guilty to me. The band can't 'love' everyone in THAT way, so it seems almost like an apology. 'Could it be I have to kill...' is almost a hint for them to be a bit more healthy in their affection. Everyone's seen the crazy fangirls; they're just telling them to calm down! |

| Emilie Autumn – Misery Loves Company Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| It's about a play and and a a realtionship EA had. It all ties up for the basic message that misery does NOT love company and people should isolate themselves when they are misreable. The chorus is sarcastic bar the last line. | |
| Angelspit – Sleep Now Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love Zoog. He's weirdly hot. | |
| Flyleaf – Enemy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this is based on the bible quote 'Love your neighbour'. Person A has wronged or angered Person B. Person A asks for forgiveness. They tell Person B that if they don't forgive them, they need help from God ('compassion'). If they do, they are a better person for forgiving them. The rest is pretty self explaintory from a Christian point of view; we are all God's children. Sorry if that was confusing ;) | |
| Emilie Autumn – Gentlemen Aren't Nice Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Perhaps its just a nice gender-role reversal. Sterotypically, (emphasis on this word, lads!) men are the ones who forget girlfriends' names and such, while the girls crawl after them. This is just a reversal we can laugh at. | |
| Flyleaf – Again (Album version) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Lacey has said it's about people who feel a restless need to change the world. God appreciates this, but he wants you to undertand that you're not him. The chorus really stuck a note with me. When I first began to doubt my atheism, I kept debating both sides of 'Does God exist?' and one of the major points was that a loving God would never treat his children badly, with poverty and death and all the other unpleasantness. We just have to understand it's God's plan, and he knows what he's doing. | |
| Lafee – Angst Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
If my German is up to scratch, this girl is asking herself what she wants to do with her life. Was will ich wirklich, was ist mein Ziel? Will ich denn wirklich zuviel? Roughly: What do I really want? What is my goal? Do I want too much? |

| Angelspit – Meat Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's simply another sex/cannabilism mix. It's in the same vein as Devilicious. | |
| Imogen Heap – Swoon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Couple of mistakes: From the CD booklet Stuck in a cimema should be Snug in a cinema (I, too, thought it was 'stuck') ground dark soul groundhog song I could be the shipmate's wife I could be the shipmate what (got you down...) I haven't done it in the final minute |

| Imogen Heap – Between Sheets Lyrics | 16 years ago |

There's similarities, yes. But this appears to be a very loving song. Imogen said the only time she stopped thinking about her album was 'the morning after' if you catch my drift. She said placed it right in the middle of the album to highlight the moment of calm. I always thought it was about sex when you're in love, but Imogen's version is about sex with anyone. It's open to interpretation. Either way it's incredibly sweet. Some of these lyrics are wrong. From the CD booklet: Are the molten emotional frontline should be Or the molten, emotional frontline Ooh and the morning on your skin and laughter light should be Ooh and the morning on your skin, a loved up light (I thought she was saying laughter lines at first) Again again should be Mmm, mabye another (minor, but it has to be said) Thanks. |

| James – Just Like Fred Astaire Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Kate is his wife. So it's sweet, but surely he should know where she is? | |
| Angelspit – Lust Worthy Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I always think this is about high-schoolers making amateur porn for quick money. They think it's all proffesional and glamourous but it's not (all that glitters is just black). In the end they just feel used and sold. | |
| Xandria – Eversleeping Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Self explanitory really. Looking and having hope that there is someone out there just for you. I've only listened to this song once and it's already had an effect on me. |

| Polly Scattergood – I Hate The Way Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I'm sorry, but the 'licking out' comment made me laugh. It just doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the song. It's just Polly's accent... I do admit it seems like that, but it just doesn't fit and seems ridiculous. Anyway, fabulous song. It reminds me of a friend of mine who's in a tough relationship but won't leave because she loves him. |

| James – Skindiving Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Great way to end an album, haunting but relaxing at the same time. Meaning? The sleevenotes read something like 'a place of refuge' or something along those lines. Lyrically, it reminds me of 'Blue Pastures'. All in all, a great song. | |
| James – Ring The Bells Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This song saved my life. I went through a very difficult time in my life and suddenly felt drawn to this song, which I hadn't heard in my years. Odd, really, how an anti-religion song turned me to God. But it doesn't matter, this song has never failed to make everything seem so much brighter. It remains my number one favourite song, and I hope it always will be. Thank you, James. For the help you have given me, and the help you will give me. |

| James – Greenpeace Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This is an amazing song. Period. The meaning? Well I see it as being sung from three different view-points. 'I don't like the world I see, So I'll avert my gaze to the T.V, I'm too cool to get involved, Someone else can change the channel for me.' 'Its no use to get involved, You'll never stop the world from turning. I just want to rest in peace, I can't stop the world from burning.' This is the voice of a normal person, who thinks it's useless to stop pollution and other issues. They are too cowardly or lazy to do anything. The voice of the general population? 'Gonna suck the juices out of this world, Gonna treat her rough it's all she deserves, She's so cold to me. Gonna rape this world with my straight lines, Gonna straighten her out 'cause nature is just history.' 'Gonna test my bombs wherever I want, Gonna poon the whale, Gonna drain the swamp, It's money to me. Gonna fuck with genes I am what I am, Much more than a God, Much less than a man of Industry.' The second persona is the voice of all industry and leaders who think 'nature is history' and outdated. They want to do what they want with world because they have power. 'There's a hole in my heart, Your so cruel to me, There's a hole in my heart, from your industry There's a hole in my heart.' This is the voice of the Earth itself who is devastated the people it has given a home to for so long are trying to destroy it. We are cruel to the Earth and it feels it. Notice that the first voice is quiet (it just wants to go unoticed), the second voice is louder because it has more power, but the third is bigger physically than all of them, and it's emotion is strongest. Very, very clever song. Took me a while to figure out the three different voices. At first I thought it was about God who turns evil because his creation won't pay attention to him. But the title made me re-think... |
