Rain, 2 a.m., and kissing in the rain are very common phrases in Taylor Swift music. Not only does she mention rain in the Fearless album, but also in her debut album and other songs (Sparks Fly, for one). I always thought this song had sexual implications, but I could be wrong. I think it's about a girl who is bored of a cute relationship and misses the drama and heartache because it felt good. Those feelings made her feel alive, and they quickened her life. I like how this song has a twisted story; it's not a typical plot. |

I think this is about a one-night stand that she wished would have developed into a longer relationship. A night that she will never forget, and a guy that will haunt her with his unforgettable presence. And it's like she wants him so bad (you can hear it in how she sings), but she knows she probably won't get him forever. So she's savoring every moment, all the while wanting more, wanting him to take away all the pain that's making her ache. She's excited about the sparks that fly in between them, intoxicated by him and everything he does. It's a very catchy and lovely song. |

Taylor wrote this song, but doesn't sing it. ;) That was to clear up the confusion. I love this song. I think Taylor was relating to her experiencing of moving from PA to TN when she was 13, because I know that was a huge change in her life. But the lyrics in this song are so true. Your home is a part of you; it marks who you are. |

I love this song so much. It's my favorite song in the universe. Taylor is saying that life has woven its way and that she is tired of chasing this one boy; she's tired of making effort and getting no result. She knows now that anything she does will make no difference. She doesn't know what to do, talking to God and herself, wondering how things got to how they were. She's so exhausted of following him, but if he still wants her, she'll be there. She's not in the mood to even try to be happy anymore ("I could go back to every laugh, but I don't want to go there anymore); she's been put down. At the end of the day, she's loyal, but at the moment, she's not in the mindset to be. She's telling herself to keep faith, even though it seems as if she's lost it. |
