| John Lennon – Scared Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Wow, GinaMarz! Your interpretation has certainly given me a lot to think about, so thank you for that! I don't have much to offer, just this - When he says "just dance to the music, you do it so well", I always picture people dancing on puppet strings, controlled by some unseen force. Maybe he was saying something along those lines -- dance to the music, you do it so well = you submit your will so easily, so go ahead and do it. I don't really like that meaning, but then this song is so negative on the whole...it's hard to listen to it sometimes. |

| John Lennon – Intuition Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love this song, it makes me so happy. Like the above person said, it's just about learning to trust your instincts and follow your intuition -- instead of following anybody else. I especially love the stanza that begins with, "Well my instincts are fine..." Times get rough, but if you trust yourself and your instincts, you can make it out okay and you'll see that it's all in how you view the world. "Time after time confirmed an old suspicion, it's good to be alive." Anyone who's gone through a dark time and then emerged to find that things are actually okay can probably relate to that line. | |
| John Lennon – I'm Losing You Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I wonder if this song could be about Paul or another friend that John felt he was losing. It describes exactly how I feel about a friend that I'm sort of in the process of losing... He's losing someone and is helpless to stop that loss. He hurt this person in the past, and that's part of why he's losing them, but he just wants to move on from that. He's aware that he reminds the person of "all that bad stuff", but what can he do about it? Band-aid solutions don't work, pretending it didn't happen doesn't work. This song could be a plea to that person, sort of saying let's just move on already. But to me it feels like he's just venting his frustration -- somebody he values is slipping away from him and even though he's tried, he can't seem to do anything to keep that person around. That's just my take on it, though, and maybe it's just because of the situation I'm in that I am seeing it this way. |
