The Only Ones – No Peace For The Wicked Lyrics 15 years ago
he's saying that because he thinks, and unlocks his inner thoughts, mainly the wicked ones, he is unable to connect with the everyday world and "be happy like everybody else."

Is it the games that he is playing with his significant other that crate "these affairs of the heart" or is the mental torture coming from something other than the relationship?

Love and Rockets – Life In Laralay Lyrics 15 years ago
Pretty self-explanatory, he's explaining the whole rocknroll/entertainment industry Laurel Canyone lifestyle.
OK So life in Laralay is Laurel Canyone. like Laurel-LA. Clever. I understand what he's talking about here for sure. it's a very fairy funny life.
Ending it with 'Leaving You With Nothing' is pretty fitting because that is how those people make you feel. 'a money making smile' wow, i've seen that a few times!

Love and Rockets – All In My Mind Lyrics 15 years ago
It's all in my mind- 'Throw us some flowers we'll give you some songs and some sunshine'? Happy Much? it seems almost sarcastically positive. especially since he sort of alludes to it 'sometimes you really don't know what I mean.' as in don't even try to interpret this shit. we're fucking with you and everyone that will ever listen to this. Kind of brill? is that the point? did I just synch goth? do I get like a special goth club trophy now...maybe just a cookie??

Sometimes they sound like the Traveling Wilbury's and that just freaks me out.

Black Lips – Bad Kids Lyrics 15 years ago
that's true Blackie, when I saw them live Joe, the drummer, sung it up on stage all by his lonesome. I think its a song very prevalent of our generation (kids born post-1983) It's a very different time for development, let's just say that. I like the Freudian shit here:

'Bad kids all my friends are bad kids
product of no dad kids'

The White Stripes – Fell In Love With A Girl Lyrics 15 years ago
analysis:

the song is from a young boy's perspective. (re-occurring theme in Jack White songs) he is in love with a girl, possibly for the first time and the girl is probably older than him however they have a relationship that allows him to be in contact with her.
Boy: She turns and said
Girl: "are you alright?"
Boy: "I must be fine cause my heart's still beating..."
Girl: "Come and kiss me by the riverside, yeah, Bobby says it's fine he don't consider it cheating now".

the girl is either 'looking for something new' or she feels obliged or she is keeping him dangling (etc)

the latter part of the song is the classic and brilliantly displayed Heart v Mind parable. he knows that it will be temporary, as 'all love is fleeting' however the unmentioned right side of his brain (the id) wants the girl with the curl now!
