I highly doubt a girl from a fall out boy show would only go after pete wentz for sex and not try to get in a relationship with him. If that's really what happened, then that girl is stupid or he wrote this song several, several years ago. lol I'll take a guess at what pete was thinking "Let’s see who I’ll fall in love with for tonight…you. i agree with staytragic, this has to be the next single. "Ohh baby you're a classic like a little black dress you're a faded moon stuck on a little hot mess (little hot mess)" I feel like the chorus is referring to ashlee. lol i think its because i remember reading someone referring to pete as a "hot tranny mess" in the tabloids. so its like ashlee is married/stuck to pete and he doesnt really know why cuz all he is is just a 'little hot mess' "I'm not a crybaby I'm the crybaby" Everyone knows fall out boy is classified as emo, even pete admitted it. so he's saying they're not just an emo band, they are THE emo band. "A caterpillar that got stuck Mr. moth come quick with any luck A long walk to a dark house A Roman candle heart keep us far apart" no.fucking.clue. Might have to do with one of the fairy tales or books pete has read or movies he's watched or something. he sometimes does that. "I got your body doing alright hate me baby maybe i'm a piece of art" I'm thinking this line is referring to how pete is so hard to read and understand [like some pieces of art], and a lot of ppl hate him for that. i mean usually when ppl look at art, everyone feels and thinks their own emotions and thoughts, but what ppl rly want to know is what the artist was feeling and thinking when creating it. or else it can be how ppl hate pete based solely on the way he looks or what the press writes about him. "I can make your heart slow I can feel the weather in my bones We're starting off and can turn it to what I like your pupils big roll like dice" just going on again on how he knows the lyrics and songs affect and addict us lovee this song :D |

was this song really written in 2007? because I'm sure the lyrics had to be written about Bronx, so maybe they added in that part? Anyway, I think this song is about how successful fall out boy is now, and how lucky they are to be succesful, considering how life can just pass you by. "The only thing suicidal here is the door We had a good run even i have to admit" I'm pretty sure that is referring to their career, and it would be stupid [or suicidal] to just retire or leave now, even though they became wildly successful, and pete knows it too "we had a good run, even i have to admit". Idk, maybe pete was thinking of it once he found out he was going to have a family. The chorus has to be referring to bronx. Although pete is wildly discreet in his lyrics, it's pretty obvious he's singing about bronx. "We didn't come to compete this is a demonstration" Referring to band, since everyone is always comparing fall out boy to someone. *notthatit'sacompetitionsincefalloutboyisprettymuchgodofthemoderndaymusicscene:)* "even the young ones become irrelevant they always bring up how you changed never the same person when I go to sleep as when I wake up, as when I wake up" basic, a lot of fans, especially teenagers, are bringing up how pete has changed, how the band's sound has changed, how everyone has changed, blahblahblah. they still bring excellence everytime. |
