This song makes me thing of the slow deterioration/destruction of a person like the first commenter stated; however I don't think of James/Bella/Edward at all. The song is a great song without twilight; so without twilight, my interpretation is a conflict between a person and thier addiction. from the 'drugs' point of view. "I won't soothe your pain I won't ease your strain You'll be waiting in vain I've got nothing for you to gain I'm taking it slow Feeding my flame Shuffling the cards of your game And just in time In the right place Suddenly I will play my ace" Its almost as if the drug is telling its user "You shouldnt take me, nnd if you decide to, eventually I will destroy you." anyways.. that probably doesnt make sense to anyone haha. its just what comes to me when I listen. |

everytime I hear this song it reminds me of my friend... an ex addict, its a struggle everyday to keep clean. Its also caused some mental problems including depression.. "Don't you know that I'll be around to guide you. Through your weakest moments to leave them behind you. Returning nightmares, only shadows. We'll cast some light and you'll be alright. We'll cast some light and you'll be alright for now." this song almost makes me cry. |
