when they were recording this, the guitarist from big wreck, one of chads favorite bands was in town. they invited him to come up and play the slide on the song. "it is different from stuff we've done before, we've never really gone that bluesy and just to watch him lay down tracks... there must have been 15 people in the recording studio and we were all just sitting there with our jaws on the floor. everybody sat there stoned-faced staring at ian playing the slide and it was just breathtaking." |

yes 'pillow' thats what its about.. in a nutshell. its about chads friend, corey, who went to a minimum security prison. everytime he escaped hed go back to his hometown. one time he showed up at chads house trying to hide from the cops. corey died in prison on his 18th birthday. |

they are a christian band. fact. their music centers around god. but you can interpret this song and most of their others and MANY other ways. im not religious, but i love their music. they stand up for what they believe and their not ashamed to show it. i love that about them. theyre not forcing anyone to believe what they do and they leave room to apply their lyrics to other aspects of your life. christian or not theyve got talent and they can rock. |
