Britney Spears – Toxic Lyrics 15 years ago
It's pretty obvious that the song is written from the perspective of a young child, 3 or 4, who has drank something they found underneath the kitchen sink.

"A guy like you / should wear a warning" is a sly reference to how warning labels are useless to those too young to read.

"The taste of your lips" == the lips of a bottle, probably containing Draino or a bleach/ammonia mixture.

"The devil cup" == the child obviously has grown up in a fundamentalist Protestant household, where everything that is prohibited has been given the tag of belonging to the devil.

"I'm addicted to you" refers to the approaching embrace of Death and how the child wishes to be enclosed in those cold, unforgiving arms before the pain and agony of adulthood arrives. Likewise, "I think I'm ready now" signifies the acceptance of death and the relinquishment of life.
