I think its the pastor. My theory on this is because all of the murders that take place in a house have no sign of break in or force entry. If you're a priest why would you have to break in? And the prints were not in the database, why would the priests finger prints be in the database? And oh my god I just figured it out. All of the other clues are not as big as this one. The priests wife died. So we are told anyway. Death Number 2, Samantha Frost. A wedding band was found on her finger. Guys wear bands girls wear rings. The priest left the most obvious clue his wedding band. Murder number 4 had a note which states "It's a sin to have these eyes. Well, God blessed me with good taste", mentioned like not only a psychopath but a guy that believes in what hes saying and doing. Death 5 mentions the girl leaving with friends. Well what if it was the priest. Who knew her parents were home so he couldn't kill her there so he asked her to go for a walk. There was a note "Call me the dark angel." With the number 154. I did some research and in the bible Matthew 15:4 it says.."For God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death." Well maybe the pastor put the moves on the girl and she wouldn't have it so he killed her. And then he couldn't bring himself to rape her. Death number 8. She was buried next to a cross another deliberate but obviously psychotic enough that no one would think of it. Death Number 9. The body was nailed to a tree almost like a crucifixion. Maybe he was making a sacrifice to himself in some sadistic way. And then the recording, it was a girls voice yes it said "come autumn I won't be here so help me god" maybe he made the girl say it to throw them off, to make them think it wasn't him. And he says in his voice "I've been evil, making a mess of this town. I woke the devil" I think he is speaking of the devil inside of himself. Number 12. His own death. The signs of struggle, might have been an alternate personality. Or maybe it was himself made to look like there was struggle so that the would think it wasn't him. And the defensive wounds might have been given to himself also to make it look like he wasn't the one to do it. Well that's my take on the whole clues and murders thing. I think it's pretty good and makes a lot of sense. |

I dont know if anyone else has picked it up but so far ive picked up parts of other older songs in their lyrics and melodies. Hammerhead that bass towards the end makes me sing Hello I Love You, from The Doors. And this song "I wish i could fix you" sounds so familiar somewhere that its like i know i could sing along if i could just remember the rest of the words. |

I think there is a majorly deeper suspect that no one is thinking about. Yeah it could be about a book, but why would a punk rock band with so much to say in a time like this write songs about a book? My theory for you to think about is, The Media, if you think about it. "Show me how to lie You're getting better all the time And turning all against one Is an art that's hard to teach Another clever word Sets off an unsuspecting herd And as you step back in the line A mob jumps to their feet" -If you watch TV which i do sometimes, and you watch the news about politics or the law you get to thinking about the topic and then without even realizing it your being manipulated to believe what they want you to believe. They say little things that is subconsciously picked up and you don't even realize it. And the pre-chorus "Now dance fucker, dance Man, I never had a chance And no one even knew It was really only you" -Its referring to how the get you to believe what they are saying so now your dancing to their music, and you don't even know your doing. "With a thousand lies and a good disguise Hit 'em right between the eyes Hit 'em right between the eyes When you walk away Nothing more to say See the lightning in your eyes See 'em running for their lives" -The lies are told everyday and the disguise is the tv show that you think is telling you the truth and being honest, is really hitting you right between the eyes because they aren't being honest they are doing what they are paid and told to do, a good business is only as good as the bribe it gets. |

Okay, here's something no one notices. I've done some extensive research. And it all fits really. This song is about Charles Schmid. The Pied Piper Of Tucsun. Charles Schmid was an older male who had dropped out of high school his senior year. He hung out at local teenage spots trying to attract younger women. He wore padded boots to look taller and better. He had a musical aura about him, a mysterious loner vibe. The women loved it. Ok so where does my theory fit in. Here's how. "Don't run back inside, darling you know just what I'm here for So you're scared and you're thinking That maybe we ain't that young anymore" ^ He would ask the girls to go for a ride with him. And the girls would know what he wanted. And after a while of talking to him they would realize he wasnt as young as she was and she would get scared. Oh and Charles always had someone with him, an accomplish so you would call it. "Hey what else can we do now? Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair Well the night's busting open This two lanes will take us anywhere We got one last chance to make it real To trade in these wings on some wheels Climb in back - Heaven's waiting on down the tracks" ^This would be how he would persuade them by just saying "Lets go for a ride this road can take us anywhere" But the girls wouldnt know that it would end in their demise. This song is actually two different meanings. On one hand its Dashboards song which is about a break up and losing a loved one and wishing they would come back. But on the other hand the Brand New parts are about a love that had a tragedy and couldnt be resolved. Like the death of one. Or one finding something better in life. |

I love this song to death. It's what got me hooked on Alkaline Trio, What made me fall in love, What made me buy 7 cds and 3 t shirts and go to 10 concert. Never gets old. But honestly i love the HWM version a little better. Their rough voice sounds so much better with these lyrics then Alkaline Trio's does. But either way its an amazing song nonetheless. |
