my take on this song is kinda different.. ---------------- "What's wrong with me? Why do I feel like this? I'm going crazy now" ^ she took some sort of drug. lol. seriously. "No more gas in the rig Can't even get it started" ^ she wants to escape or stop from what shes doing, but she cant. her 'car' cant start because it has no gas. "Nothing heard, nothing said Can't even speak about it" ^ she doesn't tell anybody and no one asks her about it all "Out my life out my head Don't want to think about it Feels like I'm going insane" ^ going crazy because its making her something she doesnt want to be "It's a thief in the night To come and grab you" ^ the 'addiction' will unexpectadly take hold and doesn't give you a chance "It can creep up inside you And consume you A disease of the mind It can control you It's too close for comfort" ^ pretty self explanatory with what i'm going on about "Put on your *BRAKE* lights We're in the city of wonder" ^ shes trying to enjoy herself now (while on the drug). you BRAKE with your CAR BRAKES in a city to either slow down or enjoy the scenary. i hate that all these lyrics have the misspelling. "Ain't gonna play nice Watch out, you might just go under" ^ you could get carried away in the other world "Better think twice Your train of thought will be altered" ^ don't lose yourself in the experience or else you'll change who you are "So if you must faulter be wise Your mind is in disturbia" ^ be careful, but if its too late, you're in disturbia.. "It's like the darkness is the light" ^ things obviously aren't normal if darkness is the light.. "Am I scaring you tonight Ain't used to what you like" ^ almost PROVING this is not about your normal relationship or depression. its something more, of course you don't want to hear its about a drug addiction or abuse "Faded pictures on the wall It's like they talkin' to me" ^ tripping out lol pictures on the wall talking to you? come on.. gotta be.. "Disconnectin' phone calls The phone don't even ring I gotta get out Or figure this shit out It's too close for comfort" ^ she cannot call anyone or get any help from anyone she knows, shes stuck where she is and has to help herself.. I feel like a monster ^ she feels like something she doesn't want to be.. not herself at all "Release me from this curse I'm in Trying to remain tame But I'm struggling" ^ crying out for help for the last time, she cant do it on her own "If you can go, go, go" ^ saying to get away while you still can, without losing yourself "I think I'm going to oh, oh, oh" ^ she knows that she's going to lose it now.. hence going to the "brake lights part" ----------- yup. think outside the box people. depression and relationships? come on. lol.. just joking. |
