This song also about Christopher leaving everything behind to go venture off, but this song focuses on the full benefit of doing such a thing. At this point, Chris knows for sure that the best thing for him is to leave. “Why contain yourself like any other book on a shelf”, he asks why should someone just stay doing the same thing forever? Why not explore the world you live in? So he leaves and starts exploring on his own, and is loving every bit of it. The song says “A world begins where the road ends”, meaning that leaving his usual life will open up so much for him, he will discover new things. So he goes off and leaves everything “Far behind”. |
