| Bruce Dickinson – King In Crimson Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I agree, I haven't read that book but I have recently finished 'Insomnia', where the Crimson King is introduced. The line in this song which really connects this and the book (besides the Crimson King part, of course) is, "if you only could see the visions, his hand is death if you taken it now". The main character in Insomnia has many visions full of aura's and light. |

| Symphony X – The Turning Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| it's definately Jekyll and Hyde; "a face divided in the mirror" and "this ill effect - a vile creation of my design" | |
| Within Temptation – Pale Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I just watched Interview With The Vampire again and I still believe this song is based on that film. Also, vampires are pale... just a little add on. | |
| Bleeding Through – What I Bleed Without You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love this song. It's about being fucked about my a girl that he thought he'd get with, he fell in love and she denied him and he thought they'd get together and he'd be happy and she'd be the one to make him forget about his ex ("you were supposed to be the one to take her place") | |

| Iron Maiden – To Tame A Land Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I saw Maiden on the Piece of Mind tour. Bruce introduced the song by saying that this was a song based on a book by Frank Herbert, and that he (Herbert) did not want them to call it "Dune," so they called it "To Tame a Land," but Bruce added, "F*ck 'im, tonight we're calling it 'Dune'!!!" LOL! taht is fucking CLASSIC! |

| Sentenced – Aika Multaa Muistot (Everything is Nothing) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| What the hell? This is one of the most emotional Senteced songs and one of theior very best! I think it's basically about every song the band has ever done, this is their way of saying that they meant every lyric they ever wrote and that none of their words were jokes and everything was to be taken seriously | |
| Opeth – Patterns In The Ivy (Part 2) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I'm confused. I have Patters In The Ivy on my Blackwater Park album. Which album is Patterns 2 on? :S forgive me if I seem dumb, I have all 9 Opeth cd's. Maybe I am just being dumb but could someone please clear this up for me? | |
| Iron Maiden – Remember Tomorrow Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
And on top of taht - "Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher, I shall return from out of fire." 'The clouds take me higher' - meaning Frodo climbing Mount Doom. 'I shall return from out of the fire' - meaning Frodo WILL destroy the ring and WILL return home after conquering Sauron. And like I said before, I know this song has nothing to do with LOTR, but listening to the song, it just gave me that impression and thoguh I'd share it :) |

| Iron Maiden – Remember Tomorrow Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I know it's ntohing to do with this song but the lines "Out in the madness, the all seeing eye, Flickers above us, to light up the sky" sounds like it COULD have been related to The Lord Of The Rings. The 'all seeing eye' being the eye of Sauron |

| Damn spelling errors! | |
| Children of Bodom – Blooddrunk Lyrics | 17 years ago |

"They say drinking is a way to die But at the end... Dying is a way to drink" how can dying be a way to drink? :S that doesn't make sense! |

| Within Temptation – Pale Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Mmhmm... I think this is based on Interview With a Vampire. When Lestrat bites Louis and Louis gets over the shock, he sees the world differently and thinks 'the world has changed but it's still the same'. He's seeing the world in a different way through his vampire eyes. Quote from the song - "The world seem not the same Though I know nothing has changed It’s all my state of mind" Also, Louis wanted to die when his wuife and child died, taht's why Lestrat bit him, so he could be dead but alive and lose all the pain in time "Use the time that I have I can’t say goodbye Have to make it right Have to fight, cause I know In the end it’s worthwile That the pain that I feel slowly fades away It will be alright" That's what I think anyway, based upon Interview With a Campire |

| Nightwish – Ghost Love Score Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
A woman's thinking about her lost love and how it used to be: "We used to swim the same moonlight waters Oceans away from the wakeful day" a certain scent reminds her of him 'brings you to thee into a blue memory' blue memory = sad mamory of lost love: "Scent of the sea before the waking of the world Brings me to thee Into the blue memory" She heard him calling her name from the ocean's they swam together. His voice is 'the siren' he is her 'dream': "A siren from the deep came to me Sang my name my longing Still I write my songs about that dream of mine Worth everything I may ever be" 'The Child' is her innocence, she's saying the sound of his voice will renew the innonce that was lost. she hears him singing, maybe in her dream / memory. But she knows he'll never care about her 'love and loss': "The Child will be born again That siren carried him to me First of them true loves Singing on the shoulders of an angel Without care for love n` loss" 'Bring me home or leave me be' - she's telling him in her memory to either come back to her or to eave her memory so she can move in. 'I have lost the path before me, the one behind will lead me on' - she can't see a futute as she's still living in the past, the only way to go forwards is to go backwards to when they were together. only then can she see a clear future: "Bring me home or leave me be My love in the dark heart of the night I have lost the path before me The one behind will lead me" She wishes for death if she can't get what she wants, every thought if him makes her contemplate suicide: "Take me Cure me Kill me Bring me home Every way Every day Just another loop in the hangman`s noose" 'I keep watching us sleep' - showing she still sees them together but not knowing it as they're both in their own worlds asleep: "Take me, cure me, kill me, bring me home Every way, every day I keep on watching us sleep" 'forgive the adorning beast' - he may have done something terrible to hurt her "Relive the old sin of Adam and Eve Of you and me Forgive the adoring beast" 'redeem me into childhood' - let innocence come back like it used to be long ago as a child, not a care in the world, not having done anything bad. 'show myself without a shell' - maybe she hasn't told her she's still in love, but she wants to 'break her shell' and show him that her feelings for him still love on. 'i'll be there when you say time to never hold our love' - she knows if she told him she's still in love, he'd just tell her to let him go: "Redeem me into childhood Show me myself without the shell Like the advent of May I`ll be there when you say Time to never hold our love" that's just what I think it's about. just a whole memory and the woman wishing she could tell her ex lover how she feels and that she always sees him in dreams and memories and it hurts her. I'm probably wrong but, hey, each song holds a different meaning to each and every individual person. |
