Frank Sinatra – It Was A Very Good Year Lyrics 16 years ago
The final verse makes this song amazing. Here's what I think it means: "I'm in the autumn of the year" gives you an idea of his age; around 3/4ths of his life is over. He says he thinks of his life as vintage wine and that the wine is of a very good year, meaning he believes his life was a very good one. So the title "A Very Good Year" is referring to a life of great value and happiness. I like the metaphor as a life being compared to a year of wine; there are many years and many lives and, just as there are especially good years for wine, this life stood out specifically as a good one.

Stratovarius – Elements Lyrics 17 years ago
Tolkki starts this song by creating a pleasant scene of what the universe looks like as a whole. Everything is peaceful, and he expresses our curiosity and wonder of the universe. Then he reminds us of how aggression, hate, and ignorance are ruining the world.

The rest of the song repeats the elements and says that we are, in fact, made of this calm and peaceful cosmos. This poses the irony of how we are composed of such materials (the components of the universe), yet we are so aggressive, rather than calm like the universe is.

Stratovarius – A Drop In The Ocean Lyrics 17 years ago
Oh yeah it also seems that Tolkki thinks it gives agony to those who think about it, and a numb feeling, probably because of the lack of meaning and the inability to create one. I disagree that we are unable to have meaning, however.

Stratovarius – A Drop In The Ocean Lyrics 17 years ago
This song starts off trying to find the meaning of life. Then it explains that no matter how hard you try, you will never really find the true meaning of life; and all we really are are tiny things in the corner of the universe, like drops of water in an ocean.
