This song can be taken literally, or metaphorically. For instance, someone who loves a girl (standing on the corner), but the wait of her not loving him is painful (the rain), and him now saying he will only wait for a certain amount of time (10 minutes, no longer), and he may just have no chance of anything ever happening (on the wrong block, or loving the wrong girl.) Oh, and this song rocks! |

The song is not about the story of cutting hell. The part about getting out of hell is great, but that really is not what the song is about. The song is about the power of the words 'I love you.' And how saying them to some one, may just change their life for the better. I know it changed mine for the better. |
