This son has so much meaning to it. It talks about how our government uses the media to blind and control the population. Also the line "More for Gor or the son of a drug lord" is talking about the 2000 election and asking which candidate was better. Obviously they didnt like either and the drug lord part is talking about the US involvment with the columbian drug cartels during the 80's and 90's(and probably now) and how George W H Bush has helped put drugs on our streets. It is also talking about how rage has gotten major airplay and used the governments own tool to put an anti government message out. Obviously they know that Mumia should be freed and that his trial was complete bullshit. |

Goddamn people are stupid as hell. I like Leftover Crack and most of the shit stza has done, but most of his lyrics are fuckign dumb. WAht the fuck does half of this shit mean? What do straight edgers have to do with religion? I know people have stopped abusing drugs because of religion but how the hell is that a bad thing? Religion isnt horrible like most of you ignorant fucks think. Ive seen churches help many people. And that stereotype of brainwashed zombies is hard as hell to find. Most of the comments on here are so fucking cliche it makes me sad that people like you like punk... I dont believe in blindly following a religion, but i dont believe in completely shutting it out because some of my ignorant fucking idols told me too. Its dumb as hell wasting your whole life trying to get to an afterlife taht might not even exist but who the hell cares if people do that. live you own life, grow the fuck up, listen to some smart bands and do some goddamn research before you spew your ignorant vomit everywhere. |

Can't believe no one has posted on this song, it is one of the coolest by mischief brew. It seems like just being a squatter or a rebel and just using what society throws away and being free to go and do what you want. I like the lines

It shows how carefree he is to not be working and how pleased he is with what hes doing with his life. |

Achmode I find it kind of ironic that a christian is critisizing someone for following something blindly. I do that too, I hate people who can't think for themselves, but just because we like this song and are a bunch of "angsty teenagers" (filled with lots of angst) who listen to this music doesn't mean we agree with it completely. I could tell you so much shit about religion that you would probably never geuss an "angsty teenager" would think. It would take too long but basically i kind of agree with some shit in christianity, but its the people in the church that anger me. The ones who tell me homosexuals have a disease and are going to hell for that diseas, the ones who are so closed minded(also like most atheists ive met and hate) that if someone proposes a good counterpoint to your religion(evolution lets say) then they are going to "hell", also people who hunt down bands to critisize them and their fans for the band's view (not naming anyone who does this...), etc. Achmode you probably haven't heard any of their other songs. I like the lyrics in "The Lucky Few" a lot too (probably cause of the angst, amirite?)
As for this song, i love it so much. The main riff is so cool and then the ska part comes in and I'm like "woah, cool, fuck yes," I particulary like the lines

The reason why genuises like him struggle is because he makes music to make music not so he can get known. They arent in it for the money, if they were they would be making music like rbf and ltg and thank god they aren't. Notice how they dont have an official website and their myspace doesnt have any friends. Thats because they are committed and would rather be underground and having real people who understand the music listen and love it, than being in the mainstream making simplistic music that doesn't mean shit. |

This is probably my favorite Weezer song(or El Schorcho). It's so deep i get the chills everytime i listen to it.
My friend got me this album for my birthday the same night I got SSX On Tour and they mix so incredibly it makes everything seem so serene. Then i start listening to them again and I see the cover of Pinkerton and it makes me want to ski so bad.
Sorry about that tangent. Great song i love the bass. It gives me so many good feelings and brings back so many memories. |

I just started listening to ska music in general not too long ago and Streetlight has always stood out especially this song, when i first heard the lyrics it just made me so happy that people care about others(i probably sound whiney as hell and emo but sometimes it feels that there arent) anyways Kalnoky is one of the best song writers ever and this album is proof of it |
