John Mayer – I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You) Lyrics 13 years ago
I was seeing this guy that is in love with John Mayer, I saw this song and became interesting, it's a good song, and boy does it describe this guy I'm talking about. I can see why he likes John Mayer so much, they're so similar.

HIM – Bleed Well Lyrics 15 years ago
I feel that this is about a person, person "A" who had a bad experience in love, and has chosen to give up on love altogether. There is someone that has fallen in love with that person, person "B", but even though "A" might love them back, "A" is so bitter that they refuse to acknowledge they love the other, since they have given up on love entirely.

The song could also be entirely different. Maybe this is a song dedicate to a friend who gave up on life because of a deep disappointment in love. This could perhaps not be a romantic song at all, but a song to a friend that lost themselves because of love.

Devotchka – This Place Is Haunted Lyrics 15 years ago
Well, I think I'll put in my two cents.

It seems to me like this song is about a man that is losing the love of his life. The laughter of the children, the "fur coat pocket"...

It seems to me like the characters in this story grew up in a small town where nothing really happens. In this "nothingness" a little girl and a little boy grow up together, being childhood sweethearts or childhood friends. The girl has big dreams, she leaves one day to the city, comes back once in a while to visit family and friends, perhaps at this point already has a relationship with the man in the song. She's gone for long periods of time, then comes back...

It also seems like the man suspects that she has found a man in the city, someone rich and of higher status..."as I watch you slip a little far away from us"...

And "this place is haunted" meaning to say that the town is like a ghost town, abandoned and insignificant. This song reminds me a lot of Catherine and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights.

Secondhand Serenade – Fall For You Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is sooo cute!

I dunno, to me this songs seems to be about a relationship that goes beyond boyfriend/girlfriend.
It looks to me like it's about a married couple. The pair were probably in love from a very young age
and married young, too young. I'm about to get personal, and I'm sorry, but I just think it's a perfect example.
It reminds me of my mom and dad, when they got married my mom was sixteen and my dad seventeen. They did and still love each other very much, but because they didnt give themselves time to grow up, neither have a sense of feeling accomplished. Mom's always blaming her marriage with my dad for being a "useless housewife" and dad's always saying, "well maybe I made a mistake and should have gone to college instead."
I've heard stories from my aunts and grandma about how much they loved each other, and it surprises me that the couple they speak of is the same quarreling couple back at home. Dad would always promise her that he would ensure her happiness no matter what, and she had a surprising amount of faith in him. I think this song's perfect for them because they're always arguying, but they always make up again, tears of happiness and all. I swear, they still act like a couple of teenagers LOl!

Rammstein – Amerika (English) Lyrics 17 years ago
Well, all in all this is an awesome song, perhaps not the lyrics, but the music

But what's with all the hate for America out there; the whole globalizing thing is a bunch of bullshit. I mean, think about it, most of the big boys owning the flashy companies are from foreign countries anyway.

No matter what anyone says about us, we're the shit, yeah, and everyone knows it's true. We have the best military, the best doctors, lawyers, the best everything. There truly is a reason why everyone immigrates here. we might lack culture and be quite a consumer society, but we do share ^_^.Hence "glabalization" ppl are just jealous; that's why they like to pick on us, I mean we're behind almost every big idea or discovery.

Who landed man on the moon? Who started industrialization (& don't lie, you know you like electricity, flushable toilets and even cheeseburgers) Who created the first Democratic country? (Greece takes some of the credit but that was different) We're pretty much behind every single "Erureka". We help other countries, fuck we're the ones that created the Peace Corps. and donate to every fucking country, even the ones that don't like us.

So other countries, stop whining and bitching about America, if you want your country to be as popular then fucking do something about it and get your ass out there to help the countries you fucked up: Yeah Europe, you, it was the Eruropean countries after all that ruined, India, Africa, and gave birth to Hitler.

And yeah, Bush is the shit, at least he did something to revenge his ppl unlike a bunch of European countries that I won't mention that would have given up on WW2 if it wasnt for America.

HIM – Poison Girl Lyrics 17 years ago
I'd just like to get it out there that this song is actually for his ex ex girlfriend Susana, he dedicated the entire album to her, especially this one song in particular.

He admitted this when they interviewed him asking him "what's the stupidest thing you have done for love?" and he of course stated that it was this, dedicating such a thing to her when he knew it would be distributed to his fans and into the media
