| Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Despair Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
I think this is supposed to be an uplifting song. You acknowledge the despair and regrets you have in life. But also recognize that there's hope in the future. The sun is just a symbol for light which is like a symbol for hope. In addition it's the same sun for all of us. You just need to look up at it and feel it to get this warm embrace. I can't fully explain the lines of most yeah yeah yeah songs but this is the general feel I get from the rise in tone of the song and brightness of the music video. |

| Metric – Handshakes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I think his song doesn't just critique yes men but people who work 9-5 jobs in general. If you're doing something that doesn't make you happy for the money then you're basically enslaving yourself. The question is whether it's worth it. | |
| Ellie Goulding – Human Lyrics | 13 years ago |

The lines "human behave yourself" and "you know not love or hate" as innfls pointed out don't seem to make much sense. As far as I can tell they only make sense when you think of the song as a conversation between a an emotional human having a breakdown and either, a robot, an unemotional human consoler, or their own self (slightly bipolar). Who they're talking to doesn't matter, but it is important that there is talk about wanting to be emotionless and wanting to have emotion. A robot wants to be able to feel and a human wants to not make mistakes and cry. Anyways that's my convoluted interpretation. |

| Nightwish – Ghost Love Score Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| You people have no right to post anything on your interpretations on this piece of heaven until you've read what happened during the band's removal of Tarja. Don't ruin a song with your religion. It has as much to do with religion as a banana. | |

QUICK RECAP QUICK RECAP QUICK RECAP QUICK RECAP QUICK RECAP QUICK RECAP QUICK RECAP QUICK RECAP Songmeanings has to start having a way to sort comments based on their ratings. Too many people say that it's a "rocking song" without any comment to the meaning. Though we could just google cobain's interpretation. I think the logical conclusions to the song meaning are that it has no meaning, or its lyrics are intentionally stupid so they make fun of the people who like the song for how it sounds. Not a big nirvana fan so I don't know. |

| Seether – Fake It Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Obviously G Bush, cuz Bush definitly flies around in a toy jet plane dancing with scantily dressed women and "fakes it all". Its even specific with "whose to know if your soul will fade at all" rather than speaking to a general populace. And the lines "I feel so raped, so follow me down" definetly refer to how bush gets raped and asks people to follow him... I would show you my sarcasmometer but it just broke. Honestly I thought the orgasm thing was humor, are all these other ideas too? It's about faking it like amberlacey ^^ says |

| Rise Against – The Good Left Undone Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| A flower in a field of weeds, this obviously symbolizes a girl that somehow gives him hope. Not necessarily a relationship though, just someone kind. The video shows a girl in a white dress though it gets sorta weird. | |
