I don't think it's necessarily about her cheating on him - it could be any bad news concerning the relationship. Maybe she broke up with him, but he believes that they still belong together. It kind of sounds to me like he's trying to show her this. |

I really get annoyed with how many people make every song on this site have some religious connectation. It's a love song about whichever two people you want it to be about. If I really wanted, I could a put argument together about how this is a song about drugs sung by the drug itself. Anyways, good tune, catchy, easy to like. I think the love meaning is fairly clear, but I listen to this and every so often I think it may be a guy telling a girl that she'll never get him off her mind, no matter what she does. He encourages her to go out and try, but is confident that he'll always be with her inside. |

This song is not about heroin, or any other drug. He cleary reffers to a woman in at least one line, and he wouldn't use lines like "I'm the voice you're hearing in the hall", it would have been "You're the voice I'm hearing in the hall". Or "If you said goodbye to me tonight", it would have been "If I said goodbye to you tonight" if it were about drugs. This is just a really good song because it talks about someone who is just happy to be living in the moment. It's been a hard road for him, but now he's found someone that makes him truely happy and he's willing to risk everything to just give it a chance and see where it goes. |

The whole song is summed up by the lyrics "I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset." These words are utterly perfect. You can on and on all day about wanting to move to a new place and giving up on a current situation, but the bottom line is the person in the song is just tired of things ending and going dark. They long to be able to watch things start anew, see the light come and be able to just start from the beginning. |

Way too much bickering for this tune... I'm not a Doors fan because I (like some others) feel they are a mediocre band - all the songs sound mostly the same and are abour 6 minutes longer than they need to be.. That said - I REALLY like this song. It's a rythm to it that just makes you want to start moving. The chorus is simple - obviously the guy is just proclaiming unending love for a girl. The other part is a little tougher to decifer - "I am not afriad" I think is showing this girl that he's ready and willing to dive in, and she shouldn't be worried about his level of comittiment. As for the promise...Maybe he's wondering about a promise she made regarding him, or even another guy - as far as who she'd date or not. And the question "Won't you tell me what she said", could even be the guy asking a friend of his love interest to tell him what she's said about him. I can totally see this as a wedding song, and I don't care if it turns Jim over in his grave. The song is catchy and playful, and I can just really see a couple doing a swing routine to it. |

I think this song is only dealing with two people - a guy who is hopelessly in love with a girl, and a girl who not only knows how he feels, but wants desperately to feel the same way. But for whatever reason, she just can't feel that "spark" with him, even thought it seems like everything else is in place. A lot of people have said they feel for this song due to personal experience - this song was actually pointed out to me by someone whom I love very much. She said it just me in a nutshell... She's who she is, I'm who I am and it should just work, but it's not for some reason. |
