The Beatles – Baby You're a Rich Man Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is so great. They were once again stretching their boundaries musically making sounds that were never thought of in rock music at the time.

John never intentionally set out to write a song about their manager, who was gay. However, it has been mentioned by John that he did slip a double meaning in here on this track.

Did it make Brian suicidal? Not a chance. He was intending on coming out the "closet" anyways.

The Beatles – Baby It's You Lyrics 18 years ago
Here's another fine example of John rocking out. What I like most about these early recordings is the lack of overdubbing and we get to listen to a perfect vocal from John recorded in a live environment in Studio #2. Awesome Tune!

The Beatles – Any Time at All Lyrics 18 years ago
The Beatles played alot of R&B in the early days. John was at the mike for most of them. I don't think that today's music fans know just how truly gifted he really was.

The Beatles – Another Girl Lyrics 18 years ago
I like how Paul used a model as his Hofner in the movie "Help" where they played this song in the freezing cold.... John on keyboards...This song WAS about Jane Asher who wasn't afraid to argue with Paul at all. It's funny how nobody really put 2 and 2 together in the days Paul was writing songs like this...re: I'm looking through you.

The Beatles – Anna (Go to Him) Lyrics 18 years ago
Anna (Go to Him) is John unleashed. You can hear it in his voice how sincere he wanted to make this cover version sound. Go buy the Beatles on Capitol Records Box #2 and listen to it in stereo.

The Beatles – And Your Bird Can Sing Lyrics 18 years ago
This is one of John's best rock songs that he wrote in the heyday of Beatlemania. Nobody really knew he was referring to a girl when he was singing about birds. Defintely drug-induced as evidenced by the Anthology 2 version in which he and Paul were laying down the basic tracks rather stoned. It's a nonsense song without meaning but had great guitars nontheless.

All you need is Love...the world should be using this as its anthem. This song and Imagine really sum up what John Lennon was and will always be.

The Beatles – All Together Now Lyrics 18 years ago
Good little sing-a-long made famous at soccer matches in the UK. This song was originally recorded during the Sgt. Pepper sessions but was never released until the group was asked to come forth with some new tunes for their animated feature, Yellow Submarine.

The Beatles – All Things Must Pass Lyrics 18 years ago
While the Anthology version is certainly an inspired recording by George, the official release was sooo good to be bypassed. One of George's best ever!
