Rolling Stone knows nothing about music, at least most of the time, So dont feed in to what they say. I would say that John Petrucci is better or at least as good as Hendrix as far as skill goes, he needs to be in the top 10. Eddie Van Halen needs to be in the top ten too. Also Jimmy Page should be in the 1, 2, or 3 spot, not 9th, come on. Hendrix is no better then these 3 guys. And Colbain??? Thats a joke right, I mean can he play anything harder then the main riff of Smoke on the Water? |

Not to say that blues rock is bad but, Black Sabbath was Metal. Sabbath created metal, however Priest oftin played with more energy. The song Exciter is more of a speed metal song, however if you have heard the Black Sabbath album Sabotage it had some faster tunes. Black Sabbath Created Heavy Metal, Judas Priest created Speed Metal, Iron Maiden created Power Metal, and Metallica created Thrash Metal. |

This song was originaly a 10 minute epic from the early days of Judas Priest. However, when the band attempted to put the song on their debute album they were asked to make the song into a 2 minute instrumental. Its really too bad because I hear that the original version of the song is actually pretty good. |

This is a great song off of a great album. Of course you cant compare it to Painkiller, because it is so different. Both albums are priests most aggressive though.
This song is about the mystical sea creature "the Loch Ness Monster." But of course you already know that. It kind of has that "Rime of the Ancient Marriner" feel to it because its so long. |

This is a great song, I actually prefer the version fron Rock In Rio because Bruce is better for this type of song then Blaze. I always thought that Bruce would have sounded better on The X Factor then Blaze did. However I dont think that Bruce sang the Di'Anno song as well, but that is for a different discussion. Anyway, the instrumental in the middle is one of the best. This song lyrically is alot like Hallowed Be Thy Name. The whole exicution theme and wondering what comes after death. |

The quote "Nobody cares until sombody famous dies" is about when Freddie Mercury died from AIDS and everyone got scared. Very good song. |

Sounds like a cover name for Aliester Crowley, the song fits quite well with Crowley's story. Look him up and you'll see why. I especially think this because Bruce has co written a movie called Chemical Wedding, which is due to come out later this year. The movie is about the reincarnation of Aliester Crowley. Iron Maiden has already written a few songs that have to do with Crowley including Revalations and Moonchild.
Crowley was a real person, he was a black magician who he worshiped satin. Many rock icons have been deeply influenced by his work including The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. He was a very tortured person who beleved that he saw demons. I just think that Benjamin Breeg sound identical to him, look into it and find out for your self. |

My two favorite bands are Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden, so when I first heard that Iron Maiden did a cover of this song I was so SYKED. However when I heard it I did not like it. Bruce Dickinson is just as good as Robert Plant, but not for this kind of song. Ths solo and drumming were very sloppy. Its ust didnt work, nice try though. They just should have picked a different Zeppelin song. |

Anyway this song is the first song on No prayer For the Dying. Great opening along the same lines of Aces High. Isnt it cool how every Iron Maiden song has a great story.
