I mean,
the first verse is talking about the very first time they met,
that hes so screwed up in one sense up to the pint of this girl fall in love or Thrill shuld i say?

the idea of this girl able to fix what he broke is the summer, and it ends up in cryin because she loves him in the end, and that she cant lift him up.
