I pretty much agree with everyone that it's about a girl who goes out and gets taken advantage of...but I'd like to add that it's also quite obvious that she's also the kind of girl who goes with a guys who aren't good to her but she sticks up for them as if they were the best thing that ever happened to her. |

To me this song seems to be about a couple that is slowly coming to the mutual realization that they aren't really right for each other.
I think in the beginning it seemed exciting, only reality is much less interesting, and now "she" is getting kind of weirded out by him where as "he" is beginning to realize that "she's" kind of cold.
Either way, I think it's about disappointment. |

I've seen them live twice and there are a few things to say about these lyrics. I'm almost positive that the line definitely is stand, based on the tour ep version. Also, it is absolutely "Look out michael," also based on the much clearer ep version and it IS "Omaha." |

My take on this song is that it is about two people who have been through some rough break-ups and are falling in love, but hesitating to act on it due to the fear of the same thing happening again.
My favorite lyric is "we've turned every stone but for all our inventions, in matters of love loss we've no recourse at all" its so true. We think we're all so smart for all these things that we've created...but in the mean time, we still just sort of have to suck it up and drive on when it comes to losing love. |
