| The Housemartins – The People Who Grinned Themselves to Death Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song is about the Royal class and how they are resistant to change "My friend you're not allowed to vote" The people who grinned themselves to death are people who worship the queen, they would put the queen ahead of their own children. |

| The Housemartins – Sheep Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This sounds like the voting public and how they are afraid to vote differently. They follow like sheep Whereas the intellectually superior are not sheep and speak their own mind, they are up against the sheep who are the majority, so nothing gets done In essence, people are idiots |

| The Housemartins – Caravan Of Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is a cover of an Isley Brothers song but the HM version is better, the video really conveys Paul Heatons Cynicism about organised religion when the image is conveyed the clergy as the KKK with a face. Thought is was brilliant |

| The Beautiful South – Artificial Flowers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song is a cover of a Bobby Darin Number, except when bobby darin was recording it he picked up Artifical Flowers while wanting to do "Mack the Knife" and said "Swing it hard boys".... The Beautiful Souths' version is more in line with what the song is about. Bobby Darins Version sounds like "The continuing adventures of Mack the Knife" A good cover though |
