Toad the Wet Sprocket – Come Down Lyrics

I always pictured it as him singing to a girl who he deemed as better than him. He could try to make himself better to reach her level but knows he can't measure up. So instead he is asking to come down to his level. |

Toad the Wet Sprocket – Good Intentions Lyrics

This song came out when I was going through a depression and was drinking alot. One night though that this song always reminds me of is lots of drinking at a bar, then ending up in a hotel with a jucuzzi. It was fun that night but it left me saying "I can't understand what I did last night" |

Jeffrey Gaines – Hero In Me Lyrics

Awesome Song. The Chorus is so powerful. Jeffrey is a great singer songwriter.
I met him after a concert I went to. I was almost depressed after the show just thinking of the lyrics and what he had to say about the songs. I expected him to be the typical depressed somewhat troubled dark poet, then I met him and he was like so wheres the party, very happy and sociable. |

Billy Joel – Until The Night Lyrics

This is an awesome song. The build up from the bridge is incredible. Billy knows how to play with people's emotions. By the time he hits the "i've been waiting so long" I am so pumped up. Awesome build up to the end of the song. |

Billy Joel – Rosalinda's Eyes Lyrics

I never really liked this song, until one time I was stuck in traffic in New York City, and it just calmed me down and the song made sense to me in that setting. Now I think of it as underrated Billy Joel song. |

I heard him say, when he wrote it, he pictured people in a bar and singing it while they were drinking their beers. |

Billy Joel – James Lyrics

"Do What's Good For You or You're not good for anybody."
It maybe selfish, but this line changed my life. I tried living up to other people's expectations of me. It isn't easy to do. |

Billy Joel – Famous Last Words Lyrics

"with all these other songs I have to play" I take to mean that no one really wants to hear my new music anyway, they just want to play Piano Man, etc.
I wasnt a big fan of the River Dreams CD from a musical standpoint, but I do miss his lyrics. |

Billy Joel – Big Shot Lyrics

I did hear him say in a few interviews it was about a hangover, Not necessarily his, but waking up the morning after drinking and looking in the mirror and saying you had to be a big shot. |

"If you met me now, you never would have stuck around"
I think one of the most powerful lines Glen has written and he sings it with such emotion. |

Glen Phillips – Easier Lyrics

I can really relate to this song as I can to most of Glen's songs. It's finding the relationship you wanted for your whole life and thinking it will fall apart at any time. |

Glen Phillips – The Next Day Lyrics

The last verse to me I take as how corrupt our country and society has become. In general it's about changing our bad habbits and how we keep saying we will do something to change for the better but never act on it. |
