Being a junkie, i must say this song describes so well the feelings of a heroin addict. that might not be what it's about but to me it will always be a song about heroin. This hunger It consumes me I lost my soul as you came rushing In my veins A pathetic Little junkie this speaks to me. good song regardless of what it's "supposed" to mean. |

I have to agree with some of the other people who commented here. Being an iv heroin user for 3 years now, this song describes the feelings so well. It's an incredible song with incredible meaning. Heroin, be the death of me Heroin, it's my wife and it's my life this line really hits me. i feel like it explains perfectly how i feel about heroin. the love of my life and the destruction of it. |

| I also think there's something to the drug theory. There's something in this song that makes me think of drugs and how easy it is to fall into. | This is the first song I ever heard of The Turtles. I heard it many, many years ago and then I heard it again when it was in Adaptation. Also, I saw a movie called My dinner with Jimi.
