In the lyrics leaflet it says "Ella necesitava un amigo. I was for hire esto es lo que quieres what you desire" Which makes sense to me at least. (I'm pretty sure "Ella necesitava un amigo" means she needed a friend and "esto es lo que quieres" means this is what you want) |

This is on the Let Me Go EP, which I can't seem to find ANYWHERE it seems. I think it was only released in Japan. :/ From the bits and pieces of what I've heard of the song it's pretty good |

Personally I like the vocals better in the one with the Allstars, but otherwise I like the original one better. According to Wikipedia, this song was written about the riots that ensued after the Rodney King trial (like April 29th by Sublime, another great song, funny that they're both about the same subject) and the one with the horns was made with the Allstars for the soundtrack of Beavis And Butthead Do America |

Carol makes her second appearance (she was also on the 43 bus in Roots Radicals) Must have been one hell of a girl I suppose :D |

The "Shouted Sandinistas" could also be a reference to The Clash's album Sandinista! released back in 1980 when the Sandinistas where in Nicaragua. And specifically on the song "Washington Bullets" where there's Sandinista shouted every once in a while. A great song, by the way :) This would fit in the image also from the fact that Life Won't Wait is often quoted as Rancid's own "Sandinista" I suppose they're just paying their homage to their idols. Both are great albums. |

| Tim Armstrong – Among The Dead Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This song is about what Tim did from the end of Operation Ivy to the beginnig of Rancid. I love how most of Tim's/Rancid's songs tell a story besides just the song, so if you read the lyrics for the right songs you've already got youself a story there about what happened in Tim's life (besides just this one) between -89 when Op Ivy split up and -92 (right?) when Rancid started playing. And then there are of course songs that describe particular situations a bit better, like Stand Your Ground, where they tell about the life on the streets in LA. |
