In addition, many here are taking the discussion out of context. Manson once said in an interview that he never said he didn't believe in a creator, however the way in which the creator has been re-moulded overtime to suit peoples expectations is beyond his acceptance. |

Hey Guys & Girls, This is most certainly myths song I listen to the most of all his creations. None of you here are incorrect in regards to your interpretations of the lyrics, this is because Manson appreciates the fact that many his listerners have an ability to think creatively and therefore interpret the songs within their own mindframe. I personally think he's referring to himself; his developing, evolving into what the people want, - something unique, powerful and one who is is willing to dictate and direct (note how Manson uses the podeom when performing the song live). This individual, or "Hydra", is evolving into something beyond what all expected; something which is preparing to bring "bitter things" to all in the form of the Antichrist. "l shed my skin to feed the fake" I think he's referring to his past life and rumors. "REPENT, that's what I'm talking about!" meaning prepare yourselves I think, it almost sounds as if he is preparing to do something or become something, which he did; he essentially turned the mainstream upside down while kicking all those in the teeth who believes America is always morally correct and unquestionable. Great tune! |

It's a brilliant song; the rhythm is catchy, while his vocals have improved dramatically. Did you know the vocals within this particular tune were recorded when Manson why laying on the floor within his lounge-room? Yep! he had a mid-air microphone where the cord was hanging on a hook in the ceiling. In relation to "I knew that our love was, just a car crash away", I believe he's referring to when he, and Dita, first met (she was stripping). He's actually discriminating her in a way by quietly making the point that her profession is pathetic. I could be wrong, people help me out? |
