College – A Real Hero Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Be a human being ( being bein being... ) And a real hero ( hero hero hero... ) Back against the wall and odds With the strength of a will and a cause Your pursuits are called outstanding You're emotionally complex Against the grain of dystopic claims Not the thoughts your actions entertain And you, have proved, to be A real human being, and a real hero Real human being, and a real hero Real human being, and a real hero Real a human being ( being being being... ) A pilot on a cold, cold morn' One hundred fifty-five people on board All safe and all rescued From the slowly sinking ship Water warmer than His head so cool In that tight bind knew what to do And you, have proved, to be A real human being, and a real hero Real a human being, and a real hero Real a human being, and a real hero Real a human being Real a human being ( being being being... ) Real a human being. |
Queens of the Stone Age – In The Fade Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It's a guy leaving a lady. "They don't know, I'd never do you any good. Laughing is easy, I would... If I could" He know he isn't right for her, he or they know something has happened between them that nobody else does. Maybe they know they aren't for each other. "I wanna drown, with nowhere to fall into the arms of someone" He feels remorse for something, he wants to pay for his sins and really be punished for what ever it is. |
Tool – Jambi Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I couldn't be bothered reading ALL of the posts, but I think a lot needs to be made of the lines including "benevolent son". It was rumored that Maynard had found god not too long before 10,000 days came out. Did he indeed find god? Then what do we make of the line "tell them the killer of faith has ascended" in another song? Thoughts? |
Strapping Young Lad – Two Weeks Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Total piss take, the whole "should we take the day maybe go to the beach" is in complete contrast to the rest of the album. This was a bit of a pre-cursor to the whole 'New Black' album where it is even more of a parody of metal and other styles. Although the sound of kids crying at the end of the song is just plain creepy. |
Peeping Tom – We're Not Alone (Remix) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Yeah, definitely "Breathe out breathe in". And "Afraid of the WARS behind closed doors" not walls. |
