My sinister take on the song is about a man taking a pregnant woman "downstairs" to the basement where he proceeds to eat the newborn. Cord being the umbilical cord. Suddenly, the man wants more than just to eat the baby. He also wants to eat the woman that gave birth. He feels like more. |

Have you payed attention to the context in which "you know they're {your dreams} just a pack of lies"? It sounds to me like you haven't. There are layers of complexity in the lyrics, it's not as simple as taking the writing literally. One of my all time favorite Metal Church songs! RIP David Wayne! |

My Gawd, that intro is something else!! I'm fascinated by that beginning guitar part....I wish someone would loop the intro into 5 minutes...I would play it over and over.someone if you can do this! please do it! i love the song...but without that itro, it would just be mildly interesting....i wish mustaine would redo this....maybe into a non-relationship song....just another version.... |

This song is about hunting animals, yet at the same time is about humanity...the EXTICTION OF HUMANITY...i think some people miss that point in the song. All are gone, all but one .... This is it, this is the Countdown to Extinction SO people say its a "tree hugger" song...but if you actually look closely...there are other messages in it as well. Great song.... |

| Beautiful vocals here... definitely can encompass many meanings. Each individual take it as they please, but to me it means to look beyond what life is thought to be...not just to go to work, come home, pay the mortgage and believe what you hear coming from your officials or any religion for that matter. You don't need to have someone give you answers when you can find them yourself. | |
