I think that she's talking about how she's surprised that anyone could love her so much because she just sees herself as being inadequate in every way. Her significant other wears glasses, and she puts them on to see if she looks any more beautiful through them. But all she sees is her same, unsatisfying self. Pretty depressing, really. |

Emily talked about this before, and though she was vague in her description (of course!) I still can form a little interpretation based off her words. I think that Emily is talking about the relationship a man has with his wife, and how she longs for that relationship, but as she can't obtain it, she feels like she wants a maid... or something... |

The meaning of this song is far from my understanding, but I get a very calm, other-wordly feel from listening to it. Fiona's deep voice is perfect with the minimal background music. P.S) I think someone screwed up the bridge lyrics, they should be- Do I so worry you? I think this song is fairly self-explanatory. Lisa is singing about the future, in another world, perhaps she is referring to a different planet on which humans can live. The 'birds' obviously have some symbolism, although I have heard she related them in the song because her cats used to bring her dead birds as offerings. |

I think this song is talking about drugs. They are seemingly helpful - the place is referred to as "Magic" Mountain - but once you are hooked, there is no way out: I live here on magic mountain No one leaves magic mountain The girl is obviously very deep in her drug obsession, and each day has lost its meaning: At magic mountain Nothing changes Everything stays the same Although the girl still has hope, she admits that she has lost all worth in her life. My heart can hear you sing My heart can see you speak But I never make it in the flatlands I must stay on magic mountain (I think the flatlands or lowlands refer to normal life, pre-drug use.) |
