What I get out of this song, is that El is greatly missed. And that El killed herself. "And honestly, I have been begging for answers That you and only you can give to me" As in, he's begging for answers to the questions he has about why she killed herself... but no one can give him those answers except for her, and that can't happen. Basically, he's scared to death over death, and he hopes that she will be there for him when he dies. That's what I get out of this. |

Obviously, this song is about the suicide of Alex's brother. Forever's never seemed so long As when you're not around It's like a piece of me is missing I could have learned so much from you But what's left now? Don't you realize you brought this family a world of pain? Can't you see there could have been a happy ending we let go? Basically, he means that he never realized the magnitude of someone being gone forever until his brother took his own life. He blames his brother, although seems to take it back by saying that there could have been a happy ending. Sing me to sleep I'll see you in my dreams Waiting to say, "I miss you. I'm so sorry." I think that Alex blames himself a bit for the death of his brother. "Waiting to say, 'I miss you. I'm so sorry.'" What I decipher from those lyrics is that Alex is sorry for what he might not have said or done to help his brother. |

This song is amazingly inspirational. Appreciate it, please. "Sometimes bombs fall quietly.." He is stating that even though he sends you signals, and is looking at you, you're too in-confident about yourself to pick your eyes up off the ground and see that someone is into you. |
