Let's not judge this song on my phrase. "I watched you on the avenue While other men were having you" could indicate a prostitute, but this song seems to indicate more a likelihood of heartbreak rather than a hooker. "Other men were having you" is probably his way to describe a woman that had been unfaithful to him during a relationship instead. This song has meant different things to me throughout my life, but I believe that Steven Tyler is expressing his heartbreak over a lost relationship and mostly lingers on "The loves you lost were all in vain the past lives on inside your brain " instead. Dwelling on a situation is unhealthy and unwarranted. |
