i am so in love with damon gough [if you didnt know that thats his real name.... wow]
i saw him in concert. he kissed my hand when he was onstage. twice. this song, it feels sort of regretful. it sounds like the girl he loves has moved on with life, and he has all these options and temptations, but he cant seem to get the image of his girl out of his mind. and he is going back to her, admitting his mistakes, begging for forgiveness, grovelling for love. its so sad and beautiful. i cry almost everytime i hear it. i was very near waterworks when he played it live. his eyes were so closed and he seemed to peaceful. it was really, really beautiful. |

when i saw badly drawn boy live, he said he tried to faashion it somewhat after bob dylan [hence the harmonica] and it was supposed to be the mother's suicide note to the boy, and now when i hear it, it makes me think of that. and i cry, and am still and wake up and i feel better. its such a beautiful, moving song. i cried when he played it live. he was crying too. |
