this is one of my favourites on sunset studies too! second only to owens lament, im not sure what this one is about either. i think maybe about loss of innocence, or maybe about the bliss of ignorance or about wanting to understand something that you cant possibly understand until you've experienced it personally. ill have to think about it more. |

i've always thought of this song as a neat way of thinking about death - 'between the click of the light and the start of the dream' and how we all die, even little babies and women and children and old folks and it's not something to be scared of. it makes me feel positive about dying and how it's this big mysterious thing that one day we all have to go marching toward. without our cars or planes. |
