This is for Biznithch 08...The suposedly backmasked pot song your looking for is "Another one bites the dust". It along with Prince's "Darling niiki" are the only songds Ive ever heard that are truly back masked, meaning when you play them in reverse you can hear the message clearly and not as an accident provided buy the sound of the foreward played lyrics.......And no people Stairway to heaven isn't truly back masked you can make that out to be whatever your imagination allows. |

The song began as a poem written by a jewish school teacher Abel Meeropol. Inspired by a photograph of the lynching of Thomas
Shipp and Abraham Smith. He put it to music himself because no one else had the "balls" to do it at the time...Billie of course had the "balls" to perform it, even when she was forbidden to do it..........The song of course is heart breaking and inspires so many different feelings depending on the race and/or experiences of the listener. God, I love Billie Holiday and the paradox of strength and weakness she represented in both her personal and professional life. Rest in peace honey.. |

To the best of my knowledge this tract still hasn't been released in the states but you can get it or order it overseas, where it was release as a single with the widow. It also was available for "free" from best buy for a while but im pretty sure they don't have it any longer...as for meaning oh god i'm so confused but thats why i love this band so much 'cause no matter how hard you try you'll never really get the meaning and thats what makes for great song writing, the best one's always make you think. |

I found my copy of Frances the mute in a used record bin shortly after it was released, about peed myself. My first thought was that the orrigional owner was probably 1) really stupid for trading it in and 2) had to have zero musical taste....well they do say "one man's trash is another man's treasure" Miranda is probably the most enigmatic tract on the cd...love it. probably forever |
