i love this song. the lyrics are absolutly stunning and probably hit a truth in those people who have experienced this. its so hard- when you see that person after so long its almost in slow motion and in that split second you recall all those times you once shared but realise they happened and have to stay in your memory because this person is no longer the same. i think the slight change at the end is amazing because you know that person you once loved has changed and thats painful- i think the girl in the realtionship feels this too and this is why theres a girl singing. :) xxx |

this song is haunting i think this song is about a man who has fallen in love with a girl after one night of being with her, but she is elusive (hard to catch, like light) I think this women is somewhat depressed maybe :''a gift to me this sorry soul...'' my favourite line is when he sings ''she said my destiny lies in the hands that sets me free...'' this is the women saying that she will love the only man who will set her free, which is ironic because surely when your in love you stay together? i agree with Gordy because i think he knows this and its haunting him; this women and their relationship: '' if its true i am doomed'' anyway thats me blabbering thanks x |
