| I like Bon Scott, but whereas he sings about not being able to handle women, Brian sings about ANNIHILATING them on Let Me Put My Love Into You. | |

| Proof as to why BJ is better than BS. BS sings about not being able to handle women on Touch too Much. Brian sings about ANNIHILATING them on this. | |

This song might very well be about drugs, but I think GNR chose something different to sing about this time. To me, it's all about strip clubs and how you get attached to them. "You know you're all alone Your friends they aren't at home Everybody's gone to the garden As you look into the trees You can look but you don't see The flowers seem to tease you at the garden Everybody's there, but you don't seem to care - This means that all your friends have gone to the club. You haven't gone, but the "flowers" aka girls are teasing you there. "Only poor boys take a chance, on this garden's song and dance Feel her flowers as they wrap around, but only smart boys do without" - Poor boys are obviously those who take a chance at strip club. Flowers could mean the vice, or the women, or both. Smart boys are obviously those who stay away. "You can find it all inside No need to wrestle with your pride No you ain't losing your mind You're just in the garden" - The temptation is growing as you are told you can find it all inside, and not to worry about your pride stopping you from going there. "I wasn't really scared Lost my virginity there, to a gypsy with blond hair But now no one seems to care" - Obviously you went to the strip club and ended up paying for sex. Now you and others don't care who you lost your virginity to, because it was paid sex and nothing special. "With a smile upon my face, I never wanna leave this place Only poor boys take a chance, on this garden's song and dance Feel her flowers as they wrap around, but only smart boys do without Turned into my worst phobia, it's a crazy man's utopia" - This parts shows how you are getting addicted to the strip club, by not wanting to leave the utopia. At the end, it shows how you are spiraling downwards into addiction by saying "bye bye, it's glad to know ya." I've seen it happen. Some guys will just go to a strip club 7 days a week, spend all their cash on the women, and come out a worse person than what they are. Sad really. I could be wrong, but here's something we can all agree on: this song rocks your socks. |
