i don't think its about anger management problems...lol..who knows...either way yeah its about depression or inner personal problems and having to take some sort of substance or pills (I am not sure what drug the song's referring to, its not that obvious unlike other songs directly titled about drugs)...my best guess is some kind of pills, or relying on
"talking out loud" and stuff could be about the wierd shit and side effects its having on you.....but ur 2 much of a depressed person so u rely on something 2 be confident and stab everything around ur mind...he feels worthless and alone will u ever grow?"...thts pretty self explanitory.....and "slipping through time", over time relying to much on it ohly to crash later, "when this cloud lifts, these happy pills won't keep you well", once the high is ovr...it was just a temperary solution to disguise urself |

Man...I'm a really big fan of nirvana, and in my opinion they were the ONE and only TRUE grunge band...or perhaps more just my style, cobain was a genious...i don't know about the rest but fuck pearl jam thier gay...and sry but alice in chains just isn't my style....As i started to listen to a c.d. by this band, i kind of noticed and realized no one will ever come close to, but i like these guys now, when nirvana i was only 3 yrs old when cobain died i wish i was older then...
anyway im sry im losing track...what this song means to me???...yeah i agree with the 1st comment...and perhaps he's talking to a friend in the song, maybe some self-reflected emotions and....perhaps he's just singing to any1 thats been alone a long fucking time, som1 that dosn't get out much, cus they lost all thier friends or hope in life or some shit along those lines......At first he says "leave it all decide to walk away In time you'll find your own"...then says to realize your not alone, even if u feel alone, ppl still exist and thier out there waiting for u...
finally I like the part "Caught up outside the light
When you gonna want and realign?" .......to me it means ur looking back and realizing u need to get back in touch with ppl and society and start being more social, make new friends and ppl, despite the way u feel about the past, when ur caught outside the light means being somewhere or w/ ppl in a social sence, and when are you gonna want to start living again? |

..to start off....im not to familiar with the band rush, i've just heard a few songs by them, but right now we are currently reading this shit in school (keep in mind i hate school and usually find it all boring as fuck), but in english were reading the book called "Tom Sawyer"...usually i don't pay attension to anything and i slide by to pass my grades......but this song reminded me of that shit, and it made me think this band must of thought that book was sweet or something to write a song about it......but to me i just thought the book was about a stupid kid getting into trouble.....not all that facinating to me...but maybe i should pay more attesnion now to see what they see.......anyway yeah i also love the new song far cry that came out.....i asked my uncle about it (hes old) and he said rush was the first concert he saw in the 8th grade....hes also seen zeppelin live to an stuff.....so yeah i might just pick up a few cd's but this band if i can......and 4 all u fucks that are argueing, know that all music in an aquired taste really.....ur not born out of ur mothers woomb an automatically heard music b4....lol so just listen to what sounds good to you and dont come here if u dont like a band or w/e thats just a waste of time |

i can shed some light on wear the title came from...i watched a live performance of this song once and plant said at the beginning: "if u compare a motor car to the parts of a moving body, sometimes u can get trampled underfoot", interpret that as u will...but its obvious its about sex and love just covered up with a double meanings relating to cars....zeppelin were geniouses like that...:) and over all it has a good beat and the fucking guitar riffs are addicting as fuck...thts why i try not to over-play it lol |

Anyway if you go on youtube i found the video to this song its really, well very abstract. u can say page was a satanist or w/e...but no one really knows what those guys were really into,
