Sounds like he's just singing about falling asleep on trains to me! I'm sure he finds himself on trains all the time, travelling the country and what-not.

i broke up with my serious boyfriend yesterday, and i was introduced to this song (and band, really) today. i am dying and crying and freaking out. its like.. all the words i couldnt say to him are in this song. nothings ever pulled my heart strings in such a way.

i agree that this song is more shallow than the others. but i mean, sometimes its nice to have a few simple words and phrases that you dont have to think about for too long. and it can still mean a lot to those who can relate.
