Amy Winehouse – October Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
It is about a bird, actually. I read an interview with Amy, and she said the song was about a canary she used to own, called Ava, and they sang to each other every night, just like the song says. |
Animal Collective – The Purple Bottle Lyrics | 17 years ago |
My God, I love this song. It sums up EXACTLY how I feel about my boyfriend right now. And I love the way he kind of sounds like he's thinking of things off the top of his head, and just saying it all as it comes to him. It's got a certain kind of breathlessness about it, which definitely reflects what being in love is like. |
Patrick Wolf – Enchanted Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Short and sweet. A gorgeous love song by Patrick. |
Patrick Wolf – Wind in the Wires Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Wow. What a song, I get shivers every time I listen to it. I love the idea that it's a love song to electricity. Patrick is such a genius. |
Arcade Fire – Cars and Telephones Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I just heard this song, and had to find the lyrics. And reading them, I thought, "I know EXACTLY what you're talking about." What a beautiful, moving song. I adore it. |
Pony Up! – I Heard You Got Action Lyrics | 17 years ago |
What a song!!! It's like the song equivalent of Grease. |
TV on the Radio – Tonight Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This is gorgeous. Not quite sure what it's about, but I love how TV On the Radio's lyrics always challenge you and make you think, cos that's what songs should be about. |
Bloc Party – Sunday Lyrics | 17 years ago |
The meaning of this is pretty self-expalnatory. And I agree with the YYY's thing....not one of their most original songs, but the lyrics are gorgeous. I'd give anything to have a love like that. |
Arcade Fire – Windowsill Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think this song is dealing with how it must be to live in America right now, what with the constant state of unrest. And I adore the way Win sings that line, "I don't wanna live in my father's house no more." |
Arcade Fire – My Body Is a Cage Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with Specialist0438, the song could well be about someone in a wheelchair, or possibly a stroke victim? Think about that, and then listen to the song again, it makes a lot of sense. Neon Bible is phenomenal, listened to it the whole way through the other day and was reduced to tears. Amazing. |
