| Frou Frou – Let Go Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I've always loved this song, but I've had an experience recently that has caused me to fall in love with it again. I just wanted to post what this song now means to me. I've had a falling out with some friends of mine recently, friends I've had for a really long time that I basically grew up with. When we all went our separate ways and went off to college, and I feel like we all grew into different people. While it has never been a problem before this recent scenario resulted in us separating, and I no longer really talk with them... However, I've realized that they are just angry people, and always seem to be irritated or mad about something. I feel like I've grown up and can accept whatever goes wrong, while they still like to stay mad and feel sorry for themselves. ("Excuse me, too busy / You're writing your tragedy") That's the "beauty in the breakdown" for me. I feel like a more mature person now, and if that requires that I "let go" and "Jump in", then I shouldn't wait to do so. There's beauty in letting go and moving on, even if it looks like a horrible breakdown. After all, "it's so amazing here". Everything in this song means something to me, and it means so much more to me now than it ever has. :) |

this is one of those songs i feel like was written just for me. about trusting someone so much, and being so affected by them, so in love that you're a lunatic inside. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. |

i got this from always on the run. not sure if its 100% correct, but i absolutely love it. Inside me a lunatic sings On a silver river You illuminate the whole world and blue eyes Cut the starry sky I make a wish and close my eyes Yes do that, now begins the story Oh no At lightspeed Inside a heart explodes, an airplane crash Down on the earth sings I make a wish and close my eyes Yes do that, a silly dance All is forgotten in very little time and yet begins Open eyes Oh no My best friend no matter whatever happens I swallow tears and breathe hair A bad break, we cry in each other arms When we meet When we kiss The lips burning, we hold hands I see you wake I see you naked Inside me a lunatic sings Always rushing, we run quickly Everything becomes smaller I scream louder I'm with a shell, going away My best friend no matter whatever happens A bad break, we cry in each others arms I swallow tears and breathe hair When we meet When we kiss The lips burning, we hold hands I see you wake I see you naked Inside me a lunatic sings |

this song makes my damn heart stop. i'm not sure what the real lyrics are, guess we'll have to wait for the album. but i love how ambiguous-sounding his voice is, can't quite make out what he's saying, even though its in english, which leaves room for interpretation, just like the hopelandic from ( ) |

this is my new drinking song. absolutely love it. i was basically on the same page as moodylupin though. all about those people that are way too into themselves/over-dramatic. i don't know if it was written specifically about emo, but it sure does fit and make total sense. proof of hives genius, yes? |

totally agree. i love how simple and pretty it is at the very beginning, and then goes insane about 55 seconds in, and just goes in and out the whole song. its gorgeous. although i don't know what the point in putting lyrics is if its just going to say N/A ... anybody know if this is in icelandic or hopelandic? |

i saw them live a couple months ago. it was absolutely the most amazing experience of my life. the message of this song hit me when they "played" it: because they flashed all these pictures of people of different ages, races, backgrounds, etc on the triangle/pyramid thing ... everyone's a person, we all have that in common. just my take. |

i pretty much agree with sk8er, although for me it has more to do with that the singer isn't with whoever they're singing about anymore for whatever reason (means something in particular to me, although it could be anything). so its about how he/she is dealing with it. seems to me like they're taking a fair share of the blame in whatever happened. "But most of all don't apologize. It's me who's got the demons to wrestle now" and then the singer is just trying to make light of the whole situation "There's a patch of blue in the stormy sky, A memory of a brighter time." for me it really clicked with some stuff i have going on, but i guess that's the point, it means different things to different people as for the video, i have no clue, i just know its pretty darn cute, makes me happy :] |

wowww, this is personally my favorite off the album. love love love it. anyways, seems to me the singer is frustrated with someone/something. i get the impression that it is from coming back to him, and he wants to be left alone, i could be wrong. but his frustration, "everyone gets a star", which reminds me of elementary school, when teachers give you gold stars and all that for ... whatever good it is you do also, the second line up here is "I want you to, forever no", but i always thought it was "I want you to forever know", that just made more sense to me. |

i agree with oL1v1a singer is past lover of some girl from the: "I think that if we were all we had That’s more than most people ever have, anyway" catchiest line in the whole song in my opinion. but either way, she's doing something that tells the singer she's scared, and he's just saying he'll always be there for her ("Oh I’m here for you") brilliant song. thank you mr. hammond. :] |
