| Neverending White Lights – The Grace Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This phrase at the end: Alone... Where I'm not alone .. Having struggled with depression for the last 6ish years of my life that I can remember back to (I was diagnosed with it but never accepted medication), I've had my share of suicidal thoughts and everything else. Whenever I tell this ex of mine that I feel lonely she replies 'You just went out with friends last night' or 'You're with your friends right now'.. But it's not just that. Being with other people or in the company of friends doesn't make me feel any less alone. When you're depressed.. being with 20 friends or 3 best friends doesn't make a difference.. I still feel loneliness constantly even when I'm with those people. I think that's what this phrase really speaks to. |

okay maybe its just me but what i thought this song meant was, well lots of people pull into parking lots right kinda like a slut gets pulled into a lot my men... I kinda got the idea that it was about a guy and girl happily in love and the girl either cheats or just leaves, sleeps around a lot (becoming a parking lot) and realizes what she had before was so much better (they paved paradise and put up a parking lot) |

| Catherine – Tom The Overlord Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
My meaning, broken down: 'The resistance falls beneath our onslaught. Unstoppable force, watch our numbers grow.' Tons of people sign up for myspace everyday, and most of them are 'emo' or 'scene' kids, outnumbering everyone else. 'Join our dark army. It only costs your soul, and a box of hair dye.' Some normal people who join myspace end up turning into a scene kid because everyone else is one too. People change who they are (sell their souls) by coloring their hair, changing their clothes, getting more piercings (especially facial and/or gauged ears)' 'Tom the overlord owns all your friends.' When you join myspace Tom is automatically your friend. He's everybody's 'friend'. 'And you'll never stop us, we're better dressed than you.' Some kids think they'll never have to grow up and conform to society (never stop us). They can just keep living with their tight jeans, converse or vans shoes, retro cartoon tees and expect to make it through the world. 'Organized melodrama, the world according to popularity.' Let's face it.. most scene kids tend to be drama queens (being the friend of many and partially one myself). 'Your friends are numbered. We'll help you count the bodies. Your friends are numbers. We'll give you one as well.' While this can refer to your top friends and number of friends, on myspace every user also has a friend ID, which is like your own individual serial code.. or your own number. 'We are a sophisticated ego mass. But we're all afraid, we all live in fear.' Nobody is actually confident in themselves on myspace, everybody just tries to look better than the next. 'We assemble every weekend.' Go to school during the week, sit around on our computers all day during the weekend on myspace. 'We'll turn this world into a soap opera.' Again with the teenage drama queens thing. 'Lights, camera, action. We are the overlord.' Now it's time to get prettied up, set the lights just right, and snap pictures in the mirror. |

Correct lyrics: A second glance, A second chance at (A falling point, to end this war!) And if I see another kid with, (The bruises from his father's hands!) We'll cry out for (those who are), Raped by hands in cowardly disgust. Hey! Hey! We are at war! Execute, persecute, consider this a war, Against abusing kids with no defense. Hear their desperate cries! No more! Heal our souls with pride and dignity! There's no place in our history, Hey! Hey! We are the kids! Found out, found out the hard way. There's no place in your fucking heart, Hey! Hey! We are the kids! Found out, found out the hard way. They say we've lost our faith! (They say we've lost our faith!) We say, "Fuck you, we're brave!" (Fuck you, we're brave!) We've spent our lives, Losing our hopes. Now's the time we say, "Fuck you, we're all we need!" Now's the time that we say, "Fuck you, we're all we need!" Now's the time that we say, "Fuck you, we're all we need!" Now's the time that we say, "Fuck you, we're all we need!" Now's the time that we say, "Fuck you, we're all we need!" We've spent our lives, Losing our hopes, Now's the time we say, "Fuck you, we're all we need!" There's no place in our history, Hey! Hey! We are the kids! Found out, found out the hard way. There's no place in your fucking heart, Hey! Hey! We are the kids! Found out, found out the wrong way. |

| Scary Kids Scaring Kids – Just A Taste Lyrics | 19 years ago |

i think its about someone who screwed up (the singer) and the person they are singing about wont forgive them and will be happier leaving the screw up behind, but the screw up just wants another chance. kind of reminds me where im at with my ex girlfriend who cheated on me and i still won't forgive her but she keeps trying to be friends. |

| Ramallah – Kill A Celebrity Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
In my version after the first chorus it goes: Hey kid if you're under 18 you'll probably get off easy so feel free to blame it on me hey kid just remember if you blame it on me i'll take the heat and you can blame insanity Oh, if we can do this thing then we can jump on the grave pile laughing. and then it goes into the second chorus and it fits with the rest of the lyrics here deffinitely a good song though, it gets me going |

| Fall Out Boy – Golden Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
CORRECT LYRICS: How cruel is the golden rule When the lives we lived are only golden plated And I knew the lights of the city were too heavy for me Though I carried karats for everyone to see And I saw God cry in the reflection of my enemies All all the lovers with no time for me And all the mothers raise their babies to stay away from me Tongues on the sockets of electric dreams When the sewage of youth drowned the spark of my teens And I knew that the lights of the city were too heavy for me And I carried karats for everyone to see And I saw God cry in the reflection of my enemies All all the lovers with no time for me And all the mothers raise their babies to stay away from me And pray they don't grow up to be me Everyone keeps getting the line 'When the sewage of youth drowned the spark of my teens' wrong. it's teens, not tears. It also makes much more sense with teens, because that would suggest bullying (sewage of youth) and how it ruined his teen years. |

| Fear Before – Should Have Stayed In The Shallows Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i think the shark thing is meant more metaphorically person goes to party gets fucked up on the alcohol, probably wanders out somewhere and either dies from alcohol poisoning or something caused by the alcohol (ie: falling into a body of water and drowning because your too drunk to get out) i think the shark is kind of like a metaphor. like, the police/autopsy people don't want to say it was because she was drunk and got herself killed, they'll blame it on the next easiest thing (she got drunk, wandered out for a swim and a shark got her) |

| Parkway Drive – Romance Is Dead Lyrics | 19 years ago |

|
| August Burns Red – Endorphins Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song is about taking control of your life and leading it where you want it to go. It talks about how when your a kid you just took what life handed you and new things became available when you got to a certain age (ie: stay home alone at 11/12 yrs old, learn to drive at 16 etc). Where as now he's saying if you want it, then you go out and fucking get it now. |
